the last three weeks

A little bit back, Nate and I took a trip out to California, hoping to be able to make living arrangements for when we move out there to go to school. Long story short, we were not very successful. But at least now we have it more narrowed down as far as specific areas in some cities that we want to stick to. So it wasn't the greatest trip in that regard. However, we got to stay with Amy and Connor Ward and their new little baby Morgan Kate. She was born prematurely and wasn't even supposed to be due until the weekend that we were visiting them. She is sooo cute and so very sweet. I got to give her a bottle a couple times while we were there. She is just so cute. Amy looks great and they are a cute little family.

Here is a picture of us when we visited them in March, before Morgan was born.

HAPPY FOURTH!!
Nate and I took a quick trip up to Utah over the 4th to help Nate's dad with a production his company was putting on over the weekend. It turned out great - good job Jim. We had some extra time to have a couple bbq's, go on a hike, and visit Jess and Chris while they were in town.

There are three things that Nate is quite afraid of. One of them is sharks. We thought we should check out one more Vegas attraction before we take off so last night we went to the Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay. It was really cool. We spent a long time in there. There's a place where you can touch some stingrays and when Nate was touching one, it moved it's fin/wing thing and it scared Nate to death, which made me jump. It was pretty funny. The sharks were pretty cool, especially the sand tiger shark, which can't close it's mouth because it has too many teeth.
