We'll start with Halloween. Nate put on a last minute costume, but he did shave his legs for it (sexy), and I went with a repeat. Molly made a reappearance. We went to a party with some friends from the ward and school. It was really fun.
One of my managers at work was so incredibly nice and gave us some extra tickets she had to "Wicked" at the Pantages Theatre. The show was incredible and we had such a fun night. Nate keeps singing the songs from the show, not seriously of course.
We've gone to a couple more USC games. We got rained on a little bit at one of the games, which made for an awesome sky. The last home game of the season was yesterday against Notre Dame, which is a long time rival I guess. Nate documented this game more than anything else ever. Not sure why. But it was cute because he was excited, especially because USC won. We went a couple hours early, got great seats, and hung out with friends. It was a fun outing.
And of course there was Thanksgiving. I attempted cooking my first turkey this year and I think it turned out okay. Nate helped me; I don't think I could've done it without his help. It was actually really fun. We had dinner with four other couples from the ward - Ericksons, Moss', Davis', and Reeves - and we all brought something different. I had to have my family's traditional fruit salad so I took that as well. We ate at Chad and Brittany Erickson's place. Everything was so delicious. I can't remember the last time I was that full. Afterward we went to a movie with Stacie and Brett Reeve, who were also at the dinner. It was a great Thanksgiving.
I look like I've already been affected by tryptophan.
I give Nate a hard time saying that he only does the dishes at other people's houses. He does do them at home, but so do I.
We decided to get annual passes to Disneyland. Everyone kept telling us to get them this year because Nate won't have as much time later on. Plus we figured that if people come into town and want to go, we'll be able to go with them. So we've been twice now and it was really fun both times. Unfortunately this is the only picture we have so far. We didn't feel like taking any pictures the first day. We were going to take some the next time, but our battery died. Luckily we got one in before it did. So here we are on Splash Mountain. Nate's reaction is fake, mine is completely real. I get scared every single time on that part. I know, I'm a wuss.
We were also able to get together with Michael and Mary (Pratt) Parker and their girls. It was really fun. We just hung out at our apartment for a little bit and then we went out and got some dinner. It was great to just hang out and catch up with them.
We also went to the Getty Museum with Chad and Brittany Erickson and Josh and Natalie Whiteley. It was really fun and the museum had some great artwork, including Reuben, Rembrandt, Degas, Van Gogh, and Monet. Plus the architecture and the gardens are incredible with amazing views of the city. It was really cool.
